Mindfulness and Flow with Qi Dao at the Mindful Movement Conference

I recently had the honor and pleasure of presenting on Mindfulness and Flow with Qigong at the Mindful Movement conference held by the Center for Mindfulness at the Niagara University. It was a great opportunity to share my passion and expertise on Qigong and Tai Chi with a diverse and enthusiastic audience of mindful movement enthusiasts.

But what are mindfulness and flow, and why are they important for your well-being? Mindfulness is the ability to pay attention for an extended time with openness, curiosity, and acceptance. Flow is the state of optimal experience when you are fully immersed and engaged in an activity that challenges your skills and abilities. Both mindfulness and flow can enhance your happiness, creativity, productivity, and performance.

However, achieving mindfulness and flow is not always easy in today's fast-paced and stressful world. That's why I shared my insights and tips on how to achieve mindfulness and flow with Qi Dao using some of the simple principles and incorporating a couple of practices that combine spontaneous, graceful movements with breathing and meditation. They can help you cultivate and balance your Qi (vital energy) and achieve the state of consciousness integrating mindfulness and flow.

In my presentation, I explained how you develop can mindfulness and flow by:

•  Understanding a few principles of mindfulness that are often overlooked or discarded by most meditation teachers.

•  Developing deeper appreciation and discernment, when it comes to breathing and other natural biofeedback mechanisms.

•  Recognizing the cause and effect connections between mindfulness and flow, so that you can use one to trigger the other.

•  Practicing a simple meditation practice, similar to Mindfulness Meditation, but incorporating movement, breathing, and energy awareness. This practice can help you relax your body, calm your mind, and elevate your spirit.

I am happy to continue sharing some powerful practices that can help you enjoy more mindfulness and flow in your life. They can help you improve your physical and mental health, reduce stress, increase energy, or learn how to experience greater self-mastery.
